Diamonds are Forever - New Releases Wild Rose Studio DT

Evening to you all in the land of blog
So excited, this is my first post using some of the
New Releases
at
Wild Rose Studio

When I first saw them I fell in love all over again, and felt just like a giddy teenager. The images and papers at the Wild Rose Studio just keep getting better and better.
Do hop over and take a look :)

This is a true British card, the red, white and blue for Queen and Country, the dashing James Bond (thanks for the adjective Lols),  his unique Martini, and of course Diamonds - a favourite film of mine.

and is perfect for this current year and coming weekend.
Now I normally do struggle with male cards, but wow those papers made it so easy.  I followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday

and was just perfect for this handsome chap.
Recipe
Base layer - black card
Papers - Man About Town stack - Wild Rose Studio
Image - Celebrate In Style - Wild Rose Studio
Sentiment - Men Greetings set - Wild Rose Studio
Bling and Pearls from Grimsby Crafts
Little tiles from stash.

Here is a close up of the image, the image frame has been distressed with gold. (no not gold finger yet!!! but keep watching)
Doesn't he look fabulous, now I have to say there has been no copics used at all on this creation.  He stamps with black ink, just as he is.    What a great feature to a stamp, on top of that another benefit is that use another colour and he will look equally as dashing.

Did you spot the Diamonds !!!!!!!! if you did not go back and check there are five :)

Great Britain at it's Best

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

Wow wow wow not only is the garden looking great, but so is my tan, went to a fabulous adult bbq yesterday and sat with some great peeps with lovely conversation and had a great time, hope you are all enjoying the weather too.

Today I get to show you a card that I was going to use for a class at Grimsby Crafts, however due to the amount of colouring and size of colouring space decided this was not really the best card and image to use for that, so I get to show you it and it will be showcased in the Grimsby Crafts shop.

So here it is
I made a birthday card, using the matching papers for this image available in the shop.

The base layer is  a royal blue, I used the grand nestie smaller circle to sit the image on and used the matching scallop circle to frame him. The bunting is cut from one of the pages in the paper pad.

here is a close up of the image coloured in copics with some Atyou Glitter pens to the fine line areas

Anything But A Card with the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Today sees the next challenge at the

with the very talented Jane choosing the theme of

Anything But A Card

now this week we are sponsored by
who is offering the winner a $15 voucher

So here is what I created for your inspiration, but don't forget to hop on over to the main challenge blog to check out the other fabulous creations.

I made a note holder for one of my colleagues that was sadly leaving us for pastures new.
The original piece came from the Hobby House.  I gave it a good two coats of gesso, followed by a smearing of sand acrylic paint.  I added some gorgeous papers from Grimsby Crafts and gave it a good old dusting of TH vintage photo for that over worn look.

Then to decorate
I added a spray of flowers original ivory white from Wild Orchid Crafts, and I air brushed in YG25 and again distressed with good old TH distress inks and added some leaves and some gorgeous Cheery Lynn butterflies along with the spellbinders die cut scroll  holding the sentiment. Around the edges and down the butterfly centres I added a pale green liquid pearl.

Here are some close ups

and then I played with my photo suite

Oh Go On Kiss Me Quick !!!

Good evening to you all in the land of blog
Wow wow wow hasn't it been glorious today, I came home and sat in the sun for a little while, see if I can change my little chalk sticks into something more appealing :)

Keep looking at my webcam - oh it does shine, but no good just looking at it I really must try it out :) bite the bullet as they say.  Maybe tomorrow, we shall see.

Anyway the reason I am here is to show you another card.

This is the card that I made to go with the Paper Lily Bouquet, if you missed it you can see it here.

Just to confirm that my dear friend loved her bouquet and her card and also told me some exciting news, thrilled for her and cannot wait to create more lovely items for this special occasion.

this is another 8 x 8 inch card

The base layer is black with some beautiful papers from Grimsby Crafts set on top of it.  The double heart MS Punch around the Page has created the image plate.  Which has been decorated with little pearls in a variety of colours of pink.  I have added some Wild Orchid Flowers and a little charm with some tulle for the soft feel.  The Flowers have been airbrushed to match the card.  I have added some Cheery Lynn Butterflies and an MSE sentiment.

Here is the image coloured in copics with some more of the little pearls for her headband.  The image is by Mo Manning and is called Ragged Romeo.

Here is a close up of the flowers with a little platinum stickles and the heart underneath.
I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.

A Little British Masterpiece

Hiya to you all in the land of blog

Today at work I had a massive spring clean, gosh what a difference this makes to an office, not sure what the rest of the team will think when they get in next but I love the space :)

I have been playing, not sure if I actually like the creation but adore the image but the creation is growing on me quickly.

I made a little portrait of Bella With Balloons using one of those little easels

look closely as the white shiny balloon has the reflections on of the shiny red and blue ones.
I just wanted to show off a Great British designer in it's simplest form in those fabulous celebratory colours. Not much else to say really.

If you want to see more of the collection or be inspired by others hop and see us on

Paper Lily Wedding Anniversary Flower Arrangement

Good morning to you in the land of blog

No snippet today looked daft as a slice :)

Today I can show you what took my son, several days to make and me several more hours to put together, all because....................................

I wanted a unique 1st Wedding Anniversary Present for a very dear friend and her husband.

I have to warn you that this post is photo heavy and you may need a beverage now before you start.

So here goes

My son created almost 20 white airbrushed squares into 20 beautiful origami lilies
I added stems and greenery.  Placed them in a decorated old sweetie jar
and voilà

I added some sprigs of gems from Wild Orchid Crafts

Some little Cheery Lynn butterflies

A good old ribbon and bow

A Wild Rose sentiment

A new Cheery Lynn flourish (from Grimsby Crafts) cut into sections.

Sprayed with Glitter

Arranged

Added some pearl flourishes and the odd little rose, with some pink bling around the top of the jar and some bling pebbles in the jar.

Didn't Mike do well, of course he bargained a price from me for each lily created, but well worth the cost, don't you think?

I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.
