Exciting News.......................................so thrilled

Hello to you all in the land of blog
I have known for almost a week and have so struggled to keep quiet but finally I can

shout
shout
shout!!!!!

I am so very very honoured to have been chosen as a new Design Team Member for

The challenge blog has recently undergone lots of changes and the expansion of the Design Team is one of those changes.  I have been a follower of Our Vintage Affair or OVA for short for quite some time and recently Polly from Artfulwings became the owner of the challenge.  Polly then introduced us to Loretta and Loretta and Polly are now moving the challenge into some very exciting times, so I am thrilled to be a part of the team supporting them both.

Please do pop over and say hello to all the new ladies of the Design Team and see there beautiful work.

The challenge being opened today is

This time the challenge is all about the

BUTTONS!!!

Use as many buttons as you can in your cards.

As well we prepared a sketch for you but you do not need to use it if you do not want to.

SPONSOR OF THE MONTH is:

with the new paper collection "Sweetheart". Here you may look for inspiration:3ndypapir.
The winner will recieve all 6 papers from this sweet collection!!!

Here is my design team inspirational piece
You probably recognise the papers as I have been using them frequently as they are adorable and on this occasion felt that I would layer on layer the same paper, although it is double sided.  The papers are Making Memories and Core Essentials  from Grimsby Crafts.  The edges have all been distressed.

The image was a Dezinaworld freebie, although there are some stunning pieces for purchase within her store but June is very generous with the freebies and so perfect for vintage too.

The sentiment is computer generated and distressed with antique linen distress ink, the lace is from a local department store.  The leaf sprigs well another new purchase from Grimsby Crafts Sizzlits Die Set 3PK - Flowers, Branches & Leaves Set. This has been cut in the left overs of the brown textured card stock used for the contrast as well as mirror gold card, if you look closely there is a very fine gold trim around all of the plate layers.  The buttons were pearl but I coloured them with my copic E57 and then added a fine sand flowersoft to the middle to make my flowers.

I am entering this creation into the following challenges
DYSU - Layers
A Spoonful of Sugar - Vintage/Shabby
Anything Goes - Distressing
Stamping Vacation - very vintage torn edges

As always I cannot leave without saying thank you to my wonderful visitors especially those that take the time to leave me such wonderful comments.

Hugs of excitement
Kate xx
